OOTD - She's A Rainbow

retro outfit printed jumpsuit zara

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I've been randomly posting facts about myself with the hashtag #randomnoobfact. One of my recent facts is that I absolutely love The Rolling Stones, especially lately, and when we were shooting this outfit I totally had the song 'She's A Rainbow' playing through my head. I am so happy that nostalgic styles are coming back and this printed jumpsuit is no exception.  The muted colours, the pleated bib front, the high hemline - I love it all!  Paired with my favourite over-the-knee boots and I'm in late sixties/early seventies heaven.

She comes in colours everywhere;
She combs her hair
She's like a rainbow
Coming, colours in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colours

The absolute best part about this printed jumpsuit is that it's actually a skort! Yes, shorts disguised as a skirt that make crazy poses like this much less risky and daytime appropriate.  If you see me high-kicking around Toronto, just know that there are short hidden underneath this mini dress.

Of course King Fritz needed to make an appearance. I swear he's much friendlier and cuter in real life then he comes off as on camera. In actuality  Fritz is such a glutton for attention that he can't stand the fact that Brian and I are doing something that doesn't involve him, and he insists on being involved too.  Those of you who have chihuahuas (or other small breeds) can attest to the fact that they are very sassy little creatures - am I right?

What do you guys think?  Are you into the sixties/seventies style for Fall?  Also, and most importantly - do you love The Rolling Stones as much as I do?  If so let me know so we can be friends!

  2. Yes, very much into the 70s trend for fall (and all seasons) and YES, also very much into the Stones! But have you ever met someone who doesn't like them? Do these people really exist?

  4. This has got to be the cutest outfit ever! I can't believe that's a romper too, it's like you've hit the clothing jackpot. I love the way you styled it, and it seems so perfect for slightly chillier weather.
