Hi! I'm Joëlle (like Noël with a 'J')
I’m a Toronto-living blogger gal with a penchant for all things pretty (read: Instagramable.) You can typically find me roaming my neighbourhood of King East with flowers stuffed in my bag, latte in hand and with an iPhone raised above my head to capture the majesty of it all. I mostly post fashion, lifestyle, beauty and travel related content to La Petite Noob, and contribute regularly to the cult-followed Wonder Forest. I love living in Toronto, am obsessed with the world of digital publishing and when I'm not working my 9 to 5 day job, you can always find me blogging.
As an Ottawa native, I’ve always felt the draw of a big city lifestyle and all of the variety that comes along with it. When the opportunity presented itself to live and work in Toronto I barely had to think twice before schlepping my stuff, my Chihuahua, my man-friend and myself to settle into Old Town. I love the juxtaposition of old and new in my beautiful neighborhood and personally consider Old Town to be one of the most underrated areas in Toronto.
I would describe my personal style as simple and feminine. I often say that if there's a rule book for Fashion, I never received my copy - I simply dress in a way that makes me feel good. Since starting La Petite Noob my style has certainly evolved, and continues to do so. The "Petite" of La Petite Noob refers to my size - I'm a whopping 5'2 (on a good day) and find that the biggest challenge in fashion is dressing for a short stature. I hope that my outfit posts can give inspiration for all of my fellow shorties out there.
The biggest joy I get from blogging is definitely interacting with my readers; every single comment and e-mail that I get makes me smile!
A little about me? Think about all of the blogger clichés: I absolute love flowers, quaint cafés, store openings and brunch. I’m also a self- proclaimed hungry girl with a gin-soaked liver, so eating out and cocktails are a big part of my life. If we were to bump into each other in the city I would either be talking to my dog, drinking a matcha latte or furiously bicycling my way through traffic (with a helmet, or course.)
Please always feel welcome to get in touch, I love meeting new people! E-mail me at lapetitenoob(a)gmail.com.
