OOTD - Crop Top and Swing Skirt

Greetings Noobs!  I'm writting this post in the aftermath of the Lady Gaga ArtRAVE show here in Toronto, and to say that I'm on a natural high would be an understatement - what an incredible show! I chose a simple outfit that would be comfortable enough for copious amount of frantic shrieking, scream singing and seat-dancing - but still had some edge.  Crops tops have been huge all summer, and I couldn't think of a better occasion than seeing Mother Monster herself to wear one in public for the first time.  Read on for additional photos and outfit details.

Crop top  - Zara (old), Skirt - Aritzia,  Booties - Steve Madden Nonstp
Purse - Marciano (old - similar), Sunglasses - Forever 21,
Lip colour - Mac Pleasure bomb & Mac Beet Lipliner

I just picked up this simple black skirt from the Aritzia end of season sale. The skirt is fairly plain, but I liked how it's high wasted and the material has a good weight to it.  It was a little large when I tried it on, but after having a huge sandwich for lunch it fit perfectly.  I love clothes that accommodate my over-eating.  In fact, this skirt will be perfect to take with me for my upcoming trip to Rome, Italy where I plan to feast on pizza, pasta and gelato.

Has anyone else seen Lady Gaga live?  Are you feeling the crop top trend for summer?  Let me know!

    1. Thanks Naghmeh! I would definitely recommend her show, even if you don't listen to her music regularly - the stage show and crowd energy are incredible! I'm looking forward to Rome, and have already started to mentally pack my carry on luggage (no checked baggage for this gal ;)

  2. This outfit is Perfect for a Lady Gaga concert! I actually work at an arena where performers come all the time (last week was Katy Perry!) and I worked a Gaga concert last year. She's absolutely phenomenal live! I hope you had a blast!

    1. I had a great time, thanks Kristina! Part of the whole experience was just people-watching the crowd and all of the different outfits - people are so creative! You must see that all the time working at the arena.

    1. I hope you get the chance to see Gaga live, she puts on an amazing show! Wearing a crop top with a high waisted bottom is the definitely the only way that I would feel comfortable wearing one - I'm so glad that you like the look!
