OOTD - In Between Winter and Spring

Wherefore art thou, Spring? The weather in Toronto has been showing promising signs of Spring on the horizon (a couple of degrees above freezing - I'll take it), but the crisp chill of winter is still lingering - especially once the wind hits!  These transitional times between seasons are the most difficult to dress for, but sticking to layering basics is the way to go.  Read on for outfit details and additional photos

Leather jacket - Danier Leather, Sweater - Banana Republic, Oxblood Skirt - H&M (recent)
Booties - Hudson's Bay, Scarf - Asos, Sunglasses - Karen Walker
I love a classic leather jacket for the transitional time between winter and spring.  Layered over top of a thin grey sweater, with added warmth of a knitted scarf and a beanie, it's the perfect compromise between a parka and a thin jacket.

I chose an oxblood skirt to add a pop of colour, but still keeping with a muted winter pallet.  Oxblood is my favourite colour to transition into the spring, especially when worn around the face (like the oxblood infinity scarf).  It is so flattering and really adds warmth to the skin - perfect for me, who looks and feels like she hasn't seen sunshine in months!

I'm ready for a Saturday full of errands, staying warm and dressing light.  What are your go-to styles for this fickle in-between weather?

Happy Saturday,

-Joëlle

    1. So true - you can tell that Spring weather is trying to get through, but the wind is keeping things chilly! At this rate, we'll all fulfill the Canadian stereotype and be wearing shorts at 10 degrees!
