OOTD - Blush Pink Tulle Skirt for our Wedding Anniversary

Happy Sunday Noobs!  My apologies for the unusually long hiatus between posts.  If you follow my instagram, you know that I had a heart-stopping medical scare with my beloved chihuahua Fritz, so my energies were focused on him.  Not to worry though, he has made a full recovery and my head is clear to continue on with blogging!

Today marks the day of my one year wedding anniversary.  I have blogged about our wedding in previous posts (see here and here), but I cannot believe that one whole year has gone by since the big day - crazy!  My husband and I visited the restaurant that we were married in, and we had a delicious dinner.  I wore a  blush pink tulle skirt, my wedding shoes and my most favourite leopard clutch.  Read on for additional photos and outfit details.

Tulle Skirt - Modcloth, Bustier - Aritzia, Shoes - Badgley Mischka Humbie
Necklace - Club Monaco, Clutch - Clare V

This tulle skirt from Modcloth was exactly what I was looking for - knee length and full, while still laying properly.  Word to the wise though - it runs extremely large!  I ordered the smallest size (a small), and still had to take it in a few inches at the waist.  If you're in the market for a tulle skirt, this is a beautiful and affordable option - but size down.

These Badgley Mischka Humbie heels were the most perfect wedding shoes.  They have a little platform, so walking in them is a breeze  - I spent 16 hours in these babies on our wedding day!  What I liked most about them is their versatility, as I will definitely be wearing them for years to come.

What are your thoughts on the tulle skirt?

Have a great weekend,

xo Joëlle

  1. Gorgeous! I am so relieved to hear about your baby. It's always so upsetting whenever anything scary happens to a pet. They're such an instrumental part of the family!

I love that you re-wore your wedding shoes on your one year anniversary. I think that's so sweet, and call me a sentimentalist, but in some ways it's kind of Cinderella-esque.

    1. Thank you for your concern. Yes, it is so stressful when fur babies aren't feeling well but I am so relieved that he's okay ! :)

Haha, I did feel like a modern-day Cinderella when I put on my beloved shoes again - especially since I waited an entire year to do it!
